The first day we will install the linux system (Ubuntu) on the laptops (VirtualBox) and get some insights in the organisation of the system. On the second day, we will learn to work with big data files (bio-related) by using linux specific command line tools (paste, awk, cut, diff,...). The whole workshop follows a practical approach, meaning - short introduction and direct application.
